Dr. Rolando Nuñez grew up in Puerto Rico before moving to California at age 11. Like most Puerto Rican boys, he assumed baseball greatness was in his blood. He attended the University of Illinois in Chicago, completed a Pediatrics residency in Fresno, and trained in Allergy and Immunology at National Jewish Health in Denver, which, to the shock of anyone who knew him as a teenager, is widely considered the top respiratory and allergy center in the United States. He also met his wife there, once again proving charm can compensate for limited physical talent.

Dr. Nuñez moved to Miami more than a decade ago and has been practicing as an Allergist ever since.
