The Texas Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society (TAAIS) was formed on May 12, 1984, and represents over 325 board-certified Allergists and Immunologists in Texas. The Society’s goals are to promote the highest standards in Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

TAAIS sponsors continuing medical education programs each year for allergists/immunologists, primary care physicians, primary care residents, and allergy practice managers. 

Advocacy is important to TAAIS and in the past year, the Society has made donations to both the AAAAI GAIN Campaign and the ACAAI Research Trust; has subsidized its 23rd Annual Primary Care Residents’ Conference; has given travel stipends for primary care residents to attend the ACAAI Annual Meeting in Houston; has given five Asthma Scholarship Awards to high school seniors planning to attend college; and has funded an “Outcomes in A/I” Fellow’s Research Award.

TAAIS is a resource that responds to members’ questions on a variety of issues.  The TAAIS Facebook page and TAAIS Twitter both have information for physicians, patients and the general public.  TAAIS members receive a quarterly subscription to Allergy & Asthma Proceedings as well as the TAAIS Annual Newsletter.

    Improve the care of patients suffering from allergic, asthmatic and immunologic disorders.
    Promoting Education
    Promoting patient and physician education on allergic, asthmatic and immunologic disorders.
    Increasing Awareness
    Increasing the awareness among physicians and the general public alike about the subspecialty of allergy and immunology.
