Donald Taoson is signature name used by Dr. Nguyen Doanh in his paintings and other art works. He is a board certified in allergy immunology and in internal medicine. Returning to practice in Houston since 2012, Dr. Nguyen starts to recognize a pattern of allergic inflammation that is not just limited to areas that patients have sensations of like in the nose, sinuses or skin. In fact, inflammation and allergies involvement seem to be more systemic affecting many inner body organ epithelia like lower airways, gut, bladders and so on… Furthermore, the complications of systemic inflammation seem to present at a much faster space and more severe in populations who originally migrated from tropical or desert regions of the world where wind-pollinated trees are not common. This abrupt change in environment might lead to rapid development of severe inflammation in many of the internal organ epithelia. His current research focuses on development of nascent autoimmunity associated with chronic inner organ inflammation. Therefore, treating allergies as a systemic inflammatory condition including detecting and controlling early lungs inflammation have been aggressively pursued at his private practice at Texas Allergy Group. He also setup WikiAllergies platform to help bring awareness of the allergy immunology specialty to the general population.
